Rated 1 out of 5 by from PlayStation Silver Wired Headset Very cheaply made. I bought two of these and both broke. They are not worth the fifty dollar range. If anything I'd say maybe twenty dollars. The microphone Sound is not clear. And at times when moving the mic it can glitch from working to not working. I do not recommend theses to kids or teens. The headphones are so fragile they require to be stored in a safe place after use. They will break the second your not careful. Dog hair will stick to the ears and is very hard to remove. the first one I got the speaker fell off and the second one I got the headband snapped. And the mic is on the left hand side. After use you will feel that your talking on the side of your mouth. Stay away from these. And yes after a while your ears get sore and sweaty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sounds Great, but Uncomfortable & cheap. This is a cheap headset. It lasted me less than a year before falling apart. The mic seemed like a great idea at first, retract it when I'm not using and it automatically goes to mute. However this feature stopped working and I was left with just a pair of headphones and a broken mic. I continued using the headset until the right side stopped working and then threw them away. These are also very tight. I wear glasses when I game and they squeeze my ears onto the glasses making it very uncomfortable when playing for a few hours. The main feature I liked is the usb audio. I was used to the old turtle beach headsets that requires usb + audio connection the tv or av out on my console. The headset only requires usb for power and audio. Best feature of the headset. The adapter used to do this is detachable from the headset so I can use regular headphones until i find a replacement.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from meh Not bad but not good. The mic mute is ok especially when you have background noise out of nowhere. Just push it up and done. Ready to resume, pull it back down. The material that sits on the earpieces is totally uncomfortable and itchy. Also, the amount of pressure the headphones press against your ears hurts after a bit. After a month of use, the hard plastic that sets on top of your head cracked. The sound quality is ok thats it, just ok. Think if you have a small head and treat them VERY carefully, these could be good for you. Not for me though

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Uncomfortable and Not Worth It The headset is extremely tight on my head, especially my ears. The sound quality is good but it's not worth the price it is. Save your money for a different headset.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Sound, Bad Design. The overall sound quality is amazing. The only two flaws that I have with it is that it's too tight, and it has a net light fabric over the ear cups. Which when they push onto the ears (Note I have big ears) after only like 5-10 minutes my ears ache. Other than that they're very good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sound; very painful to wear For the price ($70 for me), the sound is actually quite good. Compared to a stereo headset, the surround sound in the Silvers is noticeably better, and you can generally tell from what direction a sound is coming. However, like others have said, these things are extremely tight on your ears for about 15-20 minutes and then extremely painful after about one hour. Although I'm a 6'00'' tall, thin framed adult, I do not have a large head. The problem is that the earphones put all the pressure on the perimeter of your ears instead of surrounding your ears with a cushion that distances the speakers slightly away from your ear. As a result the speakers are almost crushed against the side of your head. Unfortunately, the plastic doesn't stretch so, unless you're willing to get creative, the headset is going to be unbearable for anyone but a child (or an adult with a disproportionally small head). To fix this, I made my own ear cushions that put the pressure on my skull (like nearly every other headset out there) instead of my ears. They are much better now, but the design around the ears is just awful. I'm not sure how these passed a comfort assurance test before they were mass produced. If you're a cheapskate like me and willing to get creative, get these. If not, save a few extra bucks and go for the Golds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too tight on my ears but great headset otherwise The sound quality is great, and the microphone is very convenient with the mute function enabled by folding the mic up, but after almost three weeks of "stretching" the headset around my N64 the pressure on my ears still becomes unbearable, and I have to take the headset off. I can still hear the game and/or chat while the headset is around my neck with the volume turned all the way up. What adds to the uncomfortableness as well is the fabric they chose to cover the headphones themselves. It's scratchy on account of the texture of the fabric but the padding itself is very soft. There's very little padding on the speaker, and I understand that for the sound quality, but because of the pressure the headset applies on my ears, this is the part that becomes unbearable for me. I've got larger ears, but they're not huge (at least in comparison to my face/not as far as I can tell XD) What I do like about it is the little remote attached to the cord. I can adjust chat vs sound in both volume and balance. I really enjoy that, and also the chords are nice and long (about six feet combined - that's my educated guess, but I have my PS4 set up on my computer so I'm not very far away to begin with) something I'm very pleased to see in wired headsets. I really like the sound quality though, I'm no expert, but these headphones sound really nice. So my final verdict, they're not comfortable for me, but they're a good headset otherwise.
