Rated 5 out of 5 by from This game is one of the best games Ive ever played So this was my first game in the Mass Effect trilogy, and I was not disappointed. Its a perfect mix between a third person shooter and a RPG. It gives you just as many decisions to make as Knight of the Old Republic, but with even more lovable characters. A perfect buy for a Star Wars fan, a BioWare gamer, or even just a player looking for something new to try. Has a massive world to explore and many characters to talk to. Great game all around. 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Game of The Century Mass Effect 2 is arguably the best game of all time, and, at least in my opinion, is definitely the best game of the 21st century. Everything about this game is revolutionary and mastered. Choices have a huge impact on everything, squad members will make you love them more than your real friends. You will learn to love RPGs if you've ever played any nearly as good as this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better the 2nd Time Around I had picked this game up when it first came out and was not impressed. The added feature of "Thermal Clips" a.k.a. magazines. Hated it, could not get into the story. Decided that i should give it a second chance and try ME3 as well so I picked it up about 3-4 months ago and have been playing it on and off since then. Still not getting into it as much as I did ME1. Other the the thermal clip thing I enjoy the game, the graphics are good, the sound effects and sound track are great, and the voice acting is good. Definitely give it a chance or a 2nd chance if you played it before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect. Unlike the original mass effect, this has an amazing last appeal. Graphics are amazing and I'm writing this in 2014 after I've seen next gen consoles. A perfect RPG experience. I request you watch or try to play the first mass effect to at least understand everything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mass effect 2 So I had heard about Mass Effect for a LONG time but I'm not much for shooting games, but finally gave the series a shot. AMAZING. ME2 was a little jarring in that they changed the map, journal and fighting style, but I ended up preferring it over ME1, and I thought that how they handled the story in this game worked fairly well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from EA strikes again this being once a great franchise ME2 was ruined completely; one being its random mechanic of ammo (not in ME1) almost all role playing games don't have ammo, for a good reason to. In ME1,& 3 there was a moment were you have a chance to buy armor, upgrades, and weapons; for your team! While ME2 had a similar thing but for Shepard alone its stupid! ME1 & 3 will always be superior to ME2 At everything. (EA did avenge its self with ME3) *bravo*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has everything you would want in a game and more. When I picked up the first Mass Effect, I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of detail put into each character and with how deep the story was. Of course the game itself wasn't perfect, with issues of framerate and shallow gameplay options. That being said, the game was perfect in every other way. Mass Effect 2 had big shoes to fill, and my God if this isn't a good game I don't know what is. What makes it good? Pretty much everything from the story, to the Gears of War-esque gameplay, to the graphics.I won't spoil the story for you. The gist of it is that you play a commander of a space ship who is sent out by the good guys to thwart the plans of an evil alien race. It seems simple from the way I say it, but trust me, if you already followed the story of the first Mass Effect, you do NOT want to miss this. The characters are very well thought out, each with his/her own reason for being on your crew. I suggest you talk to each and every one of them if you want to get the most out of this game. The game looks great and that's pretty much all I can say about the graphics. Gameplay has changed for the better in Mass Effect 2. You still have the cover system as in Mass Effect one, but the controls are tighter in 2. If you want to get an idea of what the gameplay is like, think Gears of War, but with squad based strategy. In addition to cover based shooting, you control a squad of two additional characters of your choice. There are a total of around 8 characters to choose from and they are all very useful, which makes the combat all the more exciting. In short if you are an action fan looking for a good shooter-fest, buy this game. If you're into stories, buy this game. If you're into great games. BUY THIS GAME. You won't regret it.
