Rated 3 out of 5 by MMRH from Great Product, Bad Charging Cable Cost Me More $$ Game Stop's price on the 5th gen ipod is great. It competes with Amazon and other online stores. Shopping at Game Stop frequently I liked that I could get a good online price from someone I shop at locally. The device works great and have no complaints. The only issue I have with the purchase and the reason I didn't give it a 10 on the review was because I bought this as a gift for my son's birthday and when we received the item, the charging cable didn't work. He is using my iPhone charging cable now. To get him his own charging cable I'll now have to pay another $20 give or take which makes the price I paid for the unit much less attractive. My next son's birthday is in November and now he wants an ipod as well but I may not purchase it from Game Stop because I know there is risk I may have to pay $20 more after the purchase for a working power cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by buggy1 from Ultra Fast, Ultra Light, Ultra Thin! After owning all the iPod Touches since the 2nd generation, I can easily say this is the best by far. To start, the iPod Touch 5 only weighs 88 grams, compared to the previous iPod Touch 4 which weighs 112 grams there is noticeable difference. To give you an idea of how light this iPod is, when I first held it, I compared it to a few sheets of paper (like 10) and the iPod was just as light. It is also thinner than the previous generation at just .24 inches thick. Of course the iPod Touch 5 runs all of the features of iOS 7, the latest software, (which the iPod 4 can only run up to iOS 6), and it does this very well due to the internal specs. The iPod Touch 5 houses a dual core A5 processor with a half a gig of ram (the iPad mini, the iPad 2, and the iPhone 4S house the same exact processor and ram). This makes for quick and responsive performance. In fact, the 5th generation is up to 7x faster than the 4th generation. The display is absolutely stunning, it has the same exact retina display as the iPhone 5 and 5S. This display is superior to the one on the 4th generation. The battery for me lasts around 6 hours listening to music and watching YouTube. When I am playing more graphically intensive games, it does about 4.5 hours. The camera on this iPod is quite an improvement too. The Facetime camera is a 1.2 megapixel capable of 720p video, and on the back there is a 5 megapixel sapphire crystal lens iSight camera that is capable of 1080p video. So the cameras are a huge improvement from the 4th generation. If you are looking at a space gray iPod Touch, the color is absolutely stunning, it is the perfect cross between slate and silver. So, if you are looking at upgrading from 4th generation or any other generation, do it. You will have the latest specs as well as the latest iOS software.
