Rated 4 out of 5 by Nyahkano from Looks great, feels great, wobbly hinge detracts I have used this unit for about two months. Cons first: 1) noticeably wobbly hinge and 2) volume is low. The only times that I noticed the wobbly hinge was when the screen was angled downwards, which happens when I was walking, playing while carpooling, or playing in bed. The top screen is heavy enough that I can feel the sudden movements, and that throws me off. Luckily, I used thermo-plastic (InstaMorph) to make a holder to keep it open in one position. As for the speakers, I hate that I have to play at almost max volume before I can hear well. I'm used to playing at 25% volume on my PSVita, and I have to put it to 75% on the 3DS to get a similar sound level. However, that doesn't mean it is all bad. I love the fact that I can lock the sound and 3D off when I don't need them. I couldn't do that for my old 3DS, and it sucked to have 'surprises,' such as random 3D and sound chirps in public areas (I like to turn my sound off when I play in malls or parks). I also enjoy the bigger screen. I came in knowing that the apparent resolution would suffer, but the size increase outweighs the quality decrease for me. Finally, the last pro is the rounded edges. The new 3DS is very, very comfortable compared to the old 3DS. I don't get hand cramps anymore. The physical condition of the unit was a solid decent. There were a few light scratches on the bottom and two medium scratches (less than a half inch long) on the top. There was also a red smudge on one of the corners, but it mostly disappeared with a cleaning. I was expecting some imperfections (it is a secondhand unit), and I am pleased that the designs are still great looking. In summary, I enjoy the unit's physical appearance and features, but the screen wobble is annoying. Thank goodness I could find a "solution."

Rated 4 out of 5 by Supersora786 from Great, just one issue..... I'm very pleased with my purchase. The only problem was that there were small little details i can only call dents on the top of the system. Nothing major, just enough to be frustrating. Make sure you check the system for the next person gamestop...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fuzzy64 from Almost Like New, a Wonderful Refurbishing Job The refurbished Fire Emblem Fates N3DS XL works as if it were new. The console functions properly, every button, port, jack, signal, etc., has passed through their tests perfectly. I've yet to encounter any problems using it. The handheld I received had IPS screens, much to my relief. The system that was received did come with a 4GB micro sd card already inside. The console is glossy and does pick up fingerprints, but they are hardly seen on the white cover. The outside of the casing has few scratches and scuffs, I noticed an odd squiggly scratch near the corner and a small chip on the front cover, (The top part with the white decals.) but other than that scratches were small and able to be ignored unless you specifically looked for them. The back cover (The part with the black decals.) sustained no visible scratches. The only signs of wear other than the scratches were the small rubber bumper pads on the back had already collected dirt. Even for someone who has small hands, the XL version sits comfortably when holding it, and the console is smooth all around. Overall I am very satisfied with this product, and praise the well refurbishing job. For anyone who missed out on this special edition and want to get it, I recommend buying it here. You'll be able to buy it for MSRP with the added bonus of a few useful accessories for free. (Written by the receiver.)
