Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this game! Ok, so I have never played the other Animal Crossing games, but when this came out my college age daughter and her friends (who had played the games) thought I would love it. I love designing, decorating, creating (style savvy is my favorite game) and so they talked me into getting the game. I am so glad they did. I love this game. You jump right into decorating and then designing rooms then houses and yards for your clients, oh and also schools and hospitals. The game play is pretty straight forward but i have had a few questions that i googled and found the answers to pretty quickly. I have seen other reviewers not like the game because all you do is decorate but to me that was the big draw. Hope this helps you decide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like to decorate. This game is fun and relaxing. You design homes and can post it on the internet for others to rate. The characters are so cute . I just like making them happy. Tons of replay value here. It's like an addition to New Leaf. Kinda like DLC content but actually a full fledged game. Any fan of Animal Crossing should get this. It stays right on point with the series I like so much. Also you do not just have to use Amiibo cards. You can use regular Amiibos too. 9/10 for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a great game You don't get your own house, no fishing or bug catching or games, you dont get to choose your own outfits, you just design homes. This game can be finished in less than a day, rather than the old animal crossing games that you could play for literally years. I was excited to design homes but, at the cost of everything good about this game series? not worth it. If you want a good animal crossing game, go buy New Leaf, not this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible The only game i have ever played that was worse then this may be mario is missing. The game can be beaten in a very short amount of time and is pretty boring i wish i had waited to buy this instead of pre ordering. i was excited about a new animal crossing game but this was garbage...all you have to do for each house is unpack the furniture and you are done.then just spend like less then 10 minutes on buildings. Play animal crossing new leaf it so much better its ridiculous.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very casual game I really do like this game. This is perfect for casual gamers. Unlike all Animal Crossing games before it (to my knowledge), you don't have to check on it day to day. You can save it after you decorate a building, and you can choose whether to go to the next day or to stop playing. There's no real-time commitment. Granted, it's easy to lose interest because it's essentially the same thing over and over with little variation (I myself started to dwindle after only a week), but it's a wonderful destresser. If you want a game that won't frustrate you, this is the game for you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointment... Being an avid Animal Crossing fan- I already knew that this game wouldn't be AS good as it isn't a full title release... But it really is laughable. THE only thing you do is design houses. Over and over and over... No wardrobe. No fishing. No bugs. No collecting. Not even a personal inventory. Can't explore your map. No shops. And absolutely no progression... This is great for small children because it's extremely easy and literally anyone can do it. When you're used to the daily routine of an AC title this is a joke. Festival looks far more interactive so I am a little more hopeful. Both titles were rush jobs by AC... They got late word about the Amiibo technology from Nintendo and they didn't want to be left out. They even admitted it jokingly that they wanted to prove they could make Amiibo titles like the big guys (ie: Mario, Yoshi). But maybe they should have focused on one great Amiibo title instead of two that are mediocre... I can't wait for them to pick work back up on the next full title project- which is now a year behind- which will be presumably on the Wii-U. Us fans have earned it...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fun Casual Game If you like the Animal Crossing games and want a stress-free game (where you don't have to constantly check the game every so often), then you'll like HHD. It's also very fun to design houses without the restriction of having to buy the stuff to put in the houses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A cute addition This game removes the real time clock making it perfect for playing while traveling timezones or that need to play Animal Crossing at 3am. It has a creative break from what we've gone to expect from Animal Crossing and the never-ending life of being in debt to Tom Nook. Best of all, you will never again have to worry about your neighbors adding that ugly item to ruin an otherwise cute and put together room. You have control.
