DESCRIPTION

The future is now. Are you with us?

Clash on the battlefields of tomorrow and choose your hero from a diverse cast of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities. Bend time, defy physics, and unleash an array of extraordinary powers and weapons. Engage your enemies in iconic locations from around the globe in the ultimate team-based shooter. Take your place in Overwatch. The world needs heroes.

Experience the extraordinary

Speed up and slow down time. Rain destruction from above in an experimental, jet-powered armor suit. Stalk your prey as a wraith-like assassin that can appear anywhere, anytime. Unleash powers such as dragonstrike, transcendence, graviton surge, and so much more. Every hero has a unique set of devastating and game-changing abilities.

Play heroes, not classes

Every hero has a unique perspective on the battlefield and a story behind how they arrived there. You are a champion of a bygone age wielding his punishing rocket hammer in the service of honor, a robotic monk committed to healing the rifts between man and machine, a genetically engineered gorilla who also happens to be a brilliant scientist, and many, many more.

Fight for the future...together

Teamwork is imperative for survival as you enter the fight with friends and comrades. Careful coordination will prove the difference between victory and defeat as your team combines the formidable powers at your disposal to devastating effect.

Shift your perspective

Just when it seems like your team is destined to go down in defeat, switch heroes on the fly and change the course of the battle. But don't forget that your opponents can do the same. Master the game within the game as both teams shift strategies and heroes in a constant dance to gain the upper hand.

The world is your battlefield

Protect the secrets of the mysterious Temple of Anubis in Egypt, safely escort an EMP device through King's Row in London, and do battle at other key locations around the planet. Every map has its own distinct feel with unique gameplay and team-based objectives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dont hate becuase it doesnt pander to COD players. I really love this game, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for something new. You can't compare this game to Call of Duty, because it doesn't pander to COD players. The game isn't like COD for the most part, it just happens to be a FPS that you can kill other players in. The only other game you can compare it to is Team Fortress 2, except it has better graphics and doesn't completely revolve around customizing your character. The limited hero customization IS INTENTIONAL, you are supposed to complete the objective with what you can work with. Some heroes were created mostly to counter other heroes, and to add something to support the team. Overwatch (unlike Call of Duty in which you can be just lone wolf and only rely on yourself for survival) forces the players to work together to complete the objective, and punishes the team for not working together, but if you work together well pays off really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Believe the Hype! Overwatch is a pretty great game. I wasn't sure if I would like it at first even though I had watched tons of videos on it, I didn't know if it would really be a good game for me. After getting it on sales, I was impressed. It is a lot of working together with a team to push or defend against the payload. Matchmaking is built well, with the system mostly sticking you in games with other players with similar rankings. It can lead to hours of gaming. There are some crate drops, which are cool to get after leveling up, always getting the possibility of a new skin or something cool to add. Maps are always interesting. I would have to say if you are going to get this game, you should know that it is team work based. The better you work together with a team with all the correct parts, the higher success rate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Years Worth of Fun! Overwatch is the type of game that only Blizzard can make; a game that will last for years until the inevitable sequel that will blow the original out of the water. Vibrant, diverse without pandering, and a ton of fun, Overwatch has been my new go-to game to play when I don't feel like playing anything else. Sorry, Call of Duty. You forfeited that role with Black Ops III. There hasn't been s single character I have used that I hated. Of course, we all have our favorites, but even still. Each character has his/her pros and cons. No character truly feels unfair to fight with our against. Do not hesitate. This this game your money today!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can be fun but the rage is real! I will say that this game be fun but there are so many unbalanced hero that will make you rage. There are like five hero that are too OP which are junkrat, mei, bastion, d.va, and torbjorn. Junkrat has a grenade lancher that will kill you in seconds, Mei will freeze you in two seconds and kill you, bastion can become a turret and kill you in seconds, d.va is a tank with 600 health but she get a second life since she is in a robot and usually she runs away or kills you. Lastly torbjorn can make a turret and the turret can level up and do more damage and has more health. I would like this game if some heroes were nerf but you would rage way less on Rainbow Six Siege where you only have one life in a round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING!!! This game is one that I think everyone would enjoy with tons of hard to master characters and simple easy to learn ones this game is right for everyone, plus they will keep adding more content to the game in the future and it's all free! (Like new character Ana)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and addicting All around great game. i haven't had this much fun playing a game since I first picked up Call of Duty World at War. That is not to say they are very similar -- Overwatch has you playing as unique heroes that have vastly different abilities, so there is a lot more depth then just getting new guns perks but otherwise being the same as everyone else. But it is that new, addicting, and crazy fun experience that leads me to draw the comparison to CoD (way back when that was new and original, if you can imagine that). Overwatch also does a great job putting the focus on the objective and not Kill/death ratio. K/d is not shown after match or in lobbies. It isn't even really tracked. Eliminations are tracked instead which combines kills and assists. This leads to more teamwork toward completing the objective and less rogue players looking out only for themselves. The setup fo the game also makes a loss less frustrating (to me anyways) than it does in other shooters. Bottom line is the game is extremely fun and the 21 very unique and varied characters will give you plenty of new experiences.
