Corpse Party: Blood Drive is the final installment of the story that began with Corpse Party and continued in Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. Players take direct control of a character or party of characters and explore the ruins of Heavenly Host Elementary and other locations from a top-down 3D perspective. Along the way, they'll be dodging or disarming traps, running from malicious entities, solving puzzles and directly interacting with the environment to trigger visual novel-style cutscenes that advance the story and lead to one of many endings, with very few of them being happy...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Something Lacking Before I even begin I will say this, PLAY THE GAMES IN ORDER, please. You will have a much more pleasurable experience. If you have a PS Vita you can download Corpse Party and Corpse Party: Book of Shadows (which are PSP games and the Vita is able to play them don't worry) onto your Vita from the Playstation Store. The first game is also being re-released onto the 3DS October 2016 remastered, called Corpse Party Back to School edition, if you have a 3DS I recommend playing the first one this way instead because there will be more game play. Book of Shadows is the SECOND game NOT the first, there seems to be a lot of confusion about this.....................MOVING ALONG (WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT), Corpse Party Blood Drive was alright. I have mixed feelings about it. I felt like it was lacking something the first two games had. It definitely lacked the element of storytelling the first two had (especially what Book of Shadows had). The storytelling element was what made these games so immersive. This game had it still, but not quite. It however did have it in the extra bonus chapters. I found myself enjoying the bonus chapters more than I did the actual game. The extra chapters felt more like Corpse Party than the actual main story did. The villains in this game were really... kind of lame. They seemed childish and especially with their get up, I could NOT take them seriously. Sachiko was a force to be reckoned with. Sachi had potential but... it was way too rushed. The spirits that would chase you were just so repetitive and annoying. Though they always freak my sister out. I enjoyed the more in depth approach on Ayumi's story. I love the side stories that go more into depth of Kizami, Sayaka, and Aiko. Aiko was probably the only new character I actually liked. I found her older sister Kuon (the new teacher) to be incredibly annoying and somewhat lacking in dimension. Maragari was the absolute worse, she seemed like those awful Tsundere characters thrown in a over the top revealing get up with an over the top big weapon. I felt like the ending was weird, again something lacking. I wish they could have given us a little more considering it was the final game of the series, but oh well. It was alright. I enjoyed the 3D aspect of it a lot. It was really cool to see that school brought to life. I loved the increased mobility as well. However I seriously doubt I would play it again. It felt like the game itself was rushed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing, but some difficulties As a huge fan of the Corpse Party series, I knew that this game was a must have as soon as it came out, so I picked it up as soon as I could. It's been a while since it came out though. I loved this game and I loved the way it ended the series. Unlike Book of Shadows, which had way too much story and not enough gameplay(in my opinion), I thought Blood Drive really improved in that perspective. The only thing I really had a problem with was the fact that you couldn't skip the dialogue after you had already played through it once, for example if your character died, you would have to replay everything up to the point where you died. The only other thing that bothered me was the long loading times. Even opening your inventory to get a bandage took a moment or so, which made the scenes where you're getting chased not as scary as they should be. Other than that, I loved the game and I would absolutely recommend it if you own a PS Vita and you are a fan of or are familiar with the Corpse Party series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavenly Host!!! Heavenly Host elementary never looked more beautiful than here. The story is great (although they are all great stories) but this game is taken a step farther than it's predecessors. For any die hard corpse party fans, buy this game.
