Rated 4 out of 5 by from An In-Depth Review of Fallout 4 I've played Fallout 4 a lot, I've spent 170 hours playing it on steam and another 50 or so hours on PS4. The game is a shooter/RPG combo, much like its predecessors Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. There are changes that have been made to this installment though, some of them help it really shine, but some of them feel like the game may be abandoning its core audience. As opposed to the previous games in the series, this game is very action oriented. You will find yourself using the new sprint function a lot, and in lots of high energy shootouts. I enjoyed the adrenaline rushes from these segments, but I can see why hardcore Fallout fans could see this as a negative. There have been many changes to the stats of the game, skill are completely gone, replaced by perks that you unlock as you level up. This system was implemented to avoid being perfect at everything I think, but it doesn't really work because a lot of perks that improve your skills don't have very high requirements in their respective "S.P.E.C.I.A.L" (What represents attributes that would be in other RPG's. A settlement system has also been implemented, although not very well in my opinion. Lots of your custom homes will probably end up looking like stacked squares, or maybe I just suck at the home building, either way I didn't get much out of it. The storyline is alright, having a branching story that involves 4 factions trying to obtain control over the commonwealth (The area in which Fallout 4 takes place), and to avoid spoilers, all I'll say is that there are really only 2 factions with fully developed stories, and really 2 distinct endings, although the monologue is the same with every ending, which is very disappointing. The dialogue system has been simplified, tossing a lot of flavor text, which wasn't really a bother or a credit to me, it was kinda just there. If you're looking for a fun RPG/Shooter that leans more on the shooter side to sink a lot of time into, Fallout 4 is the game for you. If you want to play Fallout 3/New Vegas in a new engine, you might just wanna skip this one. Oh, and as typical of Bethesda, lots of bugs and crashes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rebuilt the nuked world to your whim! This is an enjoyable game with multiple endings. I would recommend getting the DLC also. Nuka World DLC will give you the best weapons in my opinion.
