Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a game that you play forever This is a great game but only get this if you play for more than 3-5 hours at a time. I needed to explore 15% of the land and I explored for about 2.5 hours and I only got 2.3% discovered. The fighting is more just standing and selecting your specials. There also a ton of upgrades you have to get to get to the missions and to get those upgrades you have earn money and to earn money you have to play. A LOT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the Wii U's few underrated hidden gems! This game is amazing, stunning, and has a storyline that is worth your time in of itself. As a fan of customization, this game had me hooked for almost every aspect of this game is customizable or can be developed upon. If you are even thinking of purchasing this game, do it! I purchased this game at launch for $60 and every penny was worth it considering now that it is a reasonable $40!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive World, Impressive Game The world itself is awe-inspiring in terms of how large it feels. You could spend hours treking on foot, finding new things for days upon days. Then even more stuff when you get a flying Mech. The battle system is pretty fun and has nice customization on its side. The characters are all pretty good too, and there's many to actually choose from to fill in your party. The main story uses the same 2 side characters (Elma and Lin) and the story itself feels bare bones but isn't too short. The writing and voice acting is amazing, and the writers certainly know how to at least keep you entertained through drama or giggles. You can customize your avatar, even switching gender/size/voice type. Your name cannot be changed, so just choose a unisex name (if that bothers you) or whatever you want, really. The avatar themselves are fairly quiet but do get a say in many things, which actually DO change the outcome of serious situations (life and death, sometimes). Overall, if you own an Wii U you may as well pick up this awesome title. It's not exactly an experience you'd commonly find these days. As a side note, this DOES include an online experience which you can use various emotes and type short sentences. The online experience is not expansive, but it's there and something to do in-between missions and story missions. Your mileage with this game may vary, but it was most certainly one of my most favorite RPGs I ever played.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST GAME EVER! I got Xenoblade X because a friend wanted me to try it out and guess what? I loved it. The gameplay is awesome. The only down side is that it takes up 20 GB of the Wii U memory. So i recommend getting a hard drive if you want to play other games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captivating and unique Best RPG ive played in years. Not game of the year material, but close... Maybe RPG of the year. a well rounded game with breathtaking landscapes. quick load times, HUGE map (almost elder scroll big), Time change dynamic, crazy unique battle system (hard to describe, or relate with other games), tons off customization (skill and class tree along with weapons, equipment, and SKELLS), non linear game design, one of the best utilization's of the game-pad and the ability to play through the game in multiple ways. this game has tons to offer and can be played through with different approaches.. example. my first character joined the harriers, and focuses on battling.. rather straight forward.. the second character (my 7 year old daughters) is completely different, focusing on discovering new things and helping NPC characters with side quests.. both ways are completely different and fun. every character will do at least a sample of everything, but you can pick a specific play style. this option allows players to choose how they play the game. also making the game totally worth an extra play-thru.. maybe more.. is this game perfect?.. definitely not! it has some hang ups, and is slow at first. also the game is really long and not as non linear and open world as elder scrolls is. online could be better... and some parts of the game are not polished as much as others.. overall it is a great RPG or JRPG.. (in my day, they were all just "RPG" lol) could be better in some areas... (with so much to offer, also brings a variety of things to nit pick at) I could be critical and rate this 9 but, its closer to 10. my favorite things about the game are the combat system and environments.. my least favorite thing is the near perfect game just isn't perfect. with some more polish this could have been one of the greatest games ever! alas it will be loved by most of those who play it, but not revolutionize the genre or move too many wii U consoles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest disapointment and probably the worst game When I first saw this game I thought that it was going to be great. The cover looked really cool and I thought I would really enjoy it. When I got to gamestop I started looking at games besides it wanting to buy them, but I couldn't so then I had to settle for this. I got home slightly disappointed but I thought I could still enjoy this, right? Wrong. It's way to confusing, the buttons are all messed up, the Graphics are cheezy, (yes with a z, that's how cheesy and awful the game was) I could barely hear it, and I enjoyed it for about five minutes, played it for another thirty, and gave up because it was so boring. I wouldn't even play this game if I was paid to. In conclusion this is tied with Gears of War for the worst game I have ever played.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing world that seems to go on forever. Xenoblade Chronicles X is a fantastic game that is probably the biggest game on a console thus far. The high definition graphics make the world so vivid and diverse. It also leaves you a little paranoid that something will come out of nowhere and kill you. Fans of the original Xenoblade Chronicles may be a little dissapointed because it's not a direct sequel, but it's still built upon the original concepts and greatly expanded with plenty of references built in.
