Rated 5 out of 5 by jamaicaklove from So Far So Good!! Probably the QUICKEST order I've ever received. I ordered it Tuesday night and got it Wednesday afternoon. I found it funny that the console is black but came with a white controller lol (no biggie though) but so far no issues yet. The only thing is that I need is an wireless adapter for a 360 (which seems to not be sold anywhere) and some storage then I'll be all set. I was a little skeptical at first about buying a refurbished item but I did it anyway. I hope it last awhile if anything.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nickraptor730 from This sucks I got the xbox 360 black model and wasn't disappointed with that however the fact that it had no storage device or a hard drive for me to download my xbox online profile i wasn't able to do that suffice to say i couldn't play anything on this as all my games needed to be online and I wasn't about to pay for a new account the only good thing that came with this product was the controller which came with no battery pack so i will be returning this to the store

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pain4Fun1980 from The best revised Xbox 360 console made to date I bought this console to replace the Xbox 360 Slim that died on me so quickly. The GPU/CPU chip on the Slim model I owned warped so bad it lifted off the motherboard in all four corners when I opened it up to see what happened to it. I got the "Jasper" 12.1 Amp model revised version because of the small chip die sizes & because it has two seperate chips for the CPU & GPU & is the coolest running model Xbox 360 console Microsoft made, yes even better than the two models made after it. The GPU & CPU chips on the original Xbox 360 consoles have no heat spreader on there chips & runs cooler than the Slim models that have both the GPU & CPU chips in one. You can always open up your Slim console & replace the thermal paste on the chip to make them run a little cooler but you would have to remove the heat spreader too off of the chip to get to the termal paste thats under the heat spreader also & that is not easy to do without ruining the chip. With the original Xbox 360 consoles you have access to the bare dies on the CPU & GPU & they have seperate heatsinks. The termal paste that comes with consoles (Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo) is very low quality & should be replaced as soon as possible if you want it to last a long time. I plan on replacing the thermal paste on this one as soon as my 2-year warranty is up. Heat is the killer of electronics. The Black Elite Xbox 360 console I purchased was refurbished by Microsoft there self & not Game Stop even though it came from Game Stop & was even rated at a perfect 10. This is one main reason I choose it over the others that were the same model. It came 100% free of scratches & showed no signs of even ever being used. What a score for me, heck yeah! I did receive a different model power supply unit than what comes with this model Xbox 360 (a 12 volt - 16.5 amp instead of a 12 volt - 12.1 amp power supply) ,but thats no big deal. The console only needs 12.1 amps maximum, so the extra amps are not needed anyways. One thing that I noticed right off the bat was how quick it reads the game discs compared to the Slim model Xbox 360 I bought brand new. It reads the game discs at least twice as fast as my Slim model did even brand new out of the box! I did have to buy a Hard Drive case for the older style model & crack open the Hard Drive case on the new style Hard Drive case from my old console. But that was very easy & only cost me $6.00 for a black color version to match the color of the black console which was an original Microsoft Hard Drive case anyway that matched perfect & you would never know the difference. The wireless controller was hardly ever used for what I could tell & had no problem with the analog sticks or the buttons. Once again, a score for me!. Who ever owned this console before me must have hardly ever used it much at all & I got to reap the rewards. It only came with a stand A/V video cable but I didn't care because I already had a 6 foot HDMI cable from my other console that died. I have never had this good of luck with used items from Game Stop before & maybe never again. But in the end I am more than satisfied with my purchase I made of this model Xbox 360 console,& a 2-year console warranty for only $4.99 extra is so much a steal in my book. So worth every penny to keep playing all of my Xbox 360 games for many years to come, sitting right next to my Day One version Xbox One console.

Rated 3 out of 5 by User2880 from Disappointed I've never gotten a pre-owned console and been completely satisfied. I've literally ALWAYS had to go back to the store to return the controller that comes with it because the joysticks are either limp and broken, the bumpers stick, or they're absolutely disgusting, covered in dirt and grime. It's obvious there's no real standard to cleaning and testing. The actual consoles have always been as expected except this one. I held this online for pickup in store and the description says black model, but I got home and opened the package--and it was black...with grey writing and numbers. Turns out this is the the special Modern Warfare 2 system. Considering I purchased a fantasy RPG game with it, suffice it to say Modern Warfare is not my cup of tea so I find the decal super tacky and disappointing. Anyway, I suppose I did save a lot of money buying used and functionality is the same, but I really don't want to press my luck anymore. Moral of the review is that if things like this bum you out, just buy new. But i've been really turned off of buying consoles from GameStop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VinceIsBoss from Better than I expected I purchased a White Xbox 360 the first time. It had some sort of modified firmware so I sent it back and I received a Refurbished Black Xbox 360. Just so happened to be a Jasper motherboard. Never had a problem with the thing. Since the Elite was manufactured around the same time as the Jasper motherboard that doesn't get the Red Ring Of Death, This was a excellent purchase.
