Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than NBA 2K14 This game had a lot of improvements to last years game, but at the same time it is still missing basic components. My least favorite thing about this game was the soundtrack, in my opinion it only appealed to certain kinds of people, it needs to be broader in 2K16. One thing that I found that got old quickly was the repetitive commentary. The commentary has most certainly improved over the years but it still gets old. Overall I believe that the NBA 2K series is improving and will continue to improve.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not anywhere close to basketball!! The games mechanics are laughable!! It can be decent at times playing against someone who knows basketball. But, often you run into people who abuse broken mechanics in the game to cheat.. This game makes no sense in regards to the being images of professional athletes.. Yet they can't do the things those athletes can do (Catch, pass, shoot and move correctly). In all it seems like the same copied and pasted game from last year with worse animations.. Riddle me this how do centers shoot more accurately then most guards on this game from the three point line.? Why do you make more contested shots then open ones.. In my opinion this game deserves less than a 5 rating..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gets worse every year This has become the Madden of basketball. Seriously, they put out absolute filth that gets worse every year because they know that NBA Live is absolute garbage. The gameplay is horrendous on anything above Pro - all the baloney about the CPU being better (instead of making your CPU players worse) on harder levels was an absolute lie. I just finished a game where I had 5 missed open dunks. I don't think that has ever happened in the modern NBA. Also Kyle Lowry had a game with 17 rebounds and 10 offensive rebounds. Also something that has/will never happen. The CPU as always will have ridiculous things work in their favor to swing the score, no matter how unrealistic. Also, Kevin Durant, the cover character, looks like he is a cartoon character in this game. Next year might be my first Live year since the early 2000s....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst 2K game I've ever played 2K continues to get worse every year without any real competition from Live. The servers on the One are horrendous and the gameplay is just unbelievably frustrating. So many animations, airballed uncontested layups, throwing the ball at the backboard while trying to dunk. ALLEY-OOPS CANNOT BE STOPPED. My friend scored 56 points on me with Gordon Hayward shooting 28/28, all on alley-oops. Open 3-pointers are consistantly missed and the contested 30-footers are consistantly made in your face. Some parts of the game have improved but overall it's just an awful game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This game is a waste! The online league doesn't work and the customer service is terrible, Its NBA 2K14 with better graphics and new shooting styles. NBA live has better faces of players and better game play. Never buying a 2K game AGAIN!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Servers are so bad honestly, the game is really fun and the gameplay is probably one of my favorite. I love my career and my gm. But here's the bad part. During most of my my career games, I would be almost finished, and then it would randomly quit without saving. I would be up by 20 points and then I would have to play the game all over again. Also, there would always be an update every time I would turn the game on, but nothing ever changes. Also, a lot of the time the game freezes and force quits. I'm so sick of the service that I might never get another 2k game again. Fix this 2k!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Laggy, slow, completely unrealistic I originally gave up ever buying a NBA 2k game again, but since I bought a new system I figured I would give it one more shot...boy was that a BIG waste of money. The graphics are very good in this game. Normally it isn't something I care about, but since it was done so well, I figured it is worth noting and mentioning. Overall, the game play has potential to be great. The shooting mechanism is the best I've seen. Unfortunately, it stops there. Planning on doing a move? Well, start it out two minutes prior. For example, if I want to block someone I better press the 'Y' button before they even reach the lane. Dribbling is equally as bad. Laggy and doesn't work half the time. I can't tell you how many times my players didn't do anything, and instead got stuck into some weird backdown move at half-court. Speaking of half-court, the computer has easily made 40% or greater of its half-court and beyond shots. Absolutely joke. I understand to equal out the stats and to make it feel somewhat more realistic they have to dummy down certain motions. However, if my seven foot center is in the lane with a six foot guard, just because I am on offense my player won't jump and their player will magically have a 50" vertical and out rebound me. Same situation with mismatches. The chance of a shot going in greatly decreases if a different position is covering the player. For example, if my SF guards a PF on a switch, the PF somehow can make a turn around jumper from almost the 3-point line. Mismatches severely improve a players shooting ability. Defense is next to impossible to play, so don't waste your time. It continues the theme of slow and laggy. Players will get beat, I get that, but to even stay with a defender is challenging. I can make the switch and use the appropriate buttons, but the computer will always throw in an animated move that I can't guard. Again, defense is pointless to play in this game. The offseason and background options are good. More in-depth than years past. To sum it up, the game has its fun moments, but there are a lot more frustrating moments than good. I wouldn't recommend this game whatsoever. Next year, I will be trying NBA Live.
