Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love Pulls elements from the first REs and still keeps shooters happy. I really enjoyed playing through this game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This game reminds me of Silent Hill. This game brings a fresh face to the Resident Evil series but at what cost? That cost is now we have a game that feel a lot like the old Silent Hill Games instead of the old great Resident Evil games like Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3. I miss the old RE games that knew how to scare or at least make a person jump, but still let me choose from an arsenal of weapons to make zombies turn to ash, back then weapons like the bazooka, with the many different rounds and Barry's Colt Python. This Resident evil game seem as though it main focus was on Survival Horror, and that's what makes this game feel fresh, but also make it feel like no other resident evil title. That will be a good thing or bad thing according to what type of resident evil fan that you are.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A True Throwback This game is what i needed to fall back in love with the RE series. 5 and 6 weren't great and most of the spin-offs were even worse. But RE7 was a great experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK game but not worth $60 I had high hopes for this game... although it does deliver a good horror experience and has a decent story the game only has 5 or 6 small areas that you explore and the game is dreadfully short. I finished the game in 11 hours. How can you sell a game for $60 that offers so little game time and replay value. I was very disappointed. It's laughable when I compare game time value to other games I've played such as Witcher 3 (300+ hours) GTA5 (100 hours) Skyrim (200 hours) FFXV (100 hours)... I could go on. Ultimately when I buy a full price game I expect much more. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this game until you can get it used for $20.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from skip this I am a fan of resident evil games this is by far the shortest I ever played, the bosses are laughable only fanboys praise this game, I hope they don't make re8 like this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great change to the series! This is an excellent change in comparison the previous games. Its less action and more survival horror. The story itself is a bit simple, yet very satisfying. The gore and jump scares give the player suspense through out the game. Over all I would say the controls are easy to get the hang of and the sound quality of the game makes it a horror movie-like feel. The game gets a great review from me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Horror Done Right I have never been one for survival horror games but after hearing the praise over this game I decided to give it a shot and I am glad I did. The game is absolutely freaky to play with surround sound headphones in a dark room. The atmosphere is so well crafted that just turning a corner fills you with anticipation and anxiety over what is to come next. The graphics also look great and overall I think this game is definitely worth checking out. BTW if you are thinking of purchasing new you may want to get digital since this is a play anywhere title so you get a free copy on pc as well. Definitely check out this game.
